Their names are BBQ, roasty, bake, broil, boil, saute, salad, sandwich, enchilada, casserole, leftovers, broth, soup, stew and gravy. We'll let you know in 10 weeks if we have the courage to go through with it.
Actually, we had someone show us how to butcher four chickens two weeks ago - and we did it. Strange, I know. But it wasn't that bad...once their bodies stopped squirming with no head...
We had some chickens when I was growing up and I remember that we chopped their heads off too. We also butchered our bunnies! I don't recommend that however, the meat is not that great. Very stringy. Yuck! You guys remind me of my sister's family. Now all you need is a horse! So who chopped off the heads? You or Keith?
I held the legs and Keith did the big chop - except he missed a few times and sent the chicken's head bouncing while still attached. That was sad. He claims the ax never touched the chicken, it was just the force of the ax hitting the stump that caused its head to bounce. Yea, right. Poor chicken.
Wow Audra and Keith, You really do have a farm!! I don't know if I could do the chicken thing. I think I would be vegetarian. LOL! I'm glad to see that you all are doing well and looking good. Say hi to all!

Do you really think you could chop of their heads and roast them for dinner? I know you love roast chicken and all...
