We cut down our very own Christmas tree. It's a good thing that it hasn't really snowed yet, cause our car barely made it up the mud roads as it was! We went with a few other families. After picking out our tree and cutting it down, we ate chili, cornbread, and other warm treats. It was a lot of fun. WE LOVE OUR TREE!
This picture is right before Keith yelled "TIMBER!" The tree was too tall for our house, so we had to cut a few feet off the bottom. There was only a few spots of snow on the ground, but the kids were good at finding them and then eating snow. I think they ate more mud than snow!

Tree cutting is our big tradition. We have our tree permit but haven't got the tree yet. We've always gone with friends also & have hot chocolate after. Never fails that the tree is too tall.
