Yes, I know the backyard is mostly dirt. It's a work in progress. Anyway, so we got the baskets inside and divided the small and large eggs. They could each pick one small and one large. While they were eating their jelly beans from the small egg, we read the testimonies that were in the large eggs. I knew if I had them stuffing candy in their mouths, they would listen. I had a captive audience, at least until the sugar supply ran out. It was really a neat tradition to have started. We spread this out throughout the day - doing it again before church and before dinner, etc. They really enjoyed it! They kept asking to read more eggs, and didn't even ask for the small jelly bean eggs after that. I was impressed.
So now we are off to decorate eggs - we have so many. Our chickens are keeping us overstocked in eggs. Anyone need eggs?????? PLEASE!
Keith and Adeline were pretending that strawberries were their tongues. At first I couldn't tell if it was a strawberry or they had just eaten too many jelly beans. And I am not sure what Keith's hair is doing here. Sad version of an 80's mini mohawk? HAPPY EASTER!
